Windows Server Essentials DHCP Quirk

This weekend I have been playing around with my Essentials Server at home. I was setting up a new domain and since I was setting up a second DC I thought: Why not set up another DHCP server when I am at it… Reasonable? I think so

That was when I noticed a little quirk in the DHCP in Essentials. Apparently you can set up DHCP failover but if the DHCP on the essentials server senses another DHCP when it starts it will back off and shut down… go figure
