This is a workaround on cloning a computer in VMware ESX Starter Edition

1.       Log into VMWare ESX using Putty

2.       Copy the entire folder of the “template”  to a folder with the new name using cp -r /original/dir /copied/dir

3.       Open Virtual Infrastructure Client

4.       Double-click on Storage on the right side of the screen

5.       Go to the new folder and right-click in the .vmx file and select “add to inventory”
